LEARN TO DRAW FANTASTICAL PORTRAITS IN PENCIL
Set aside the stylus and pick up a pencil, it's time for traditional portrait drawing with a fantasy flair! Under the expert instruction of Donna Shvil, you'll be taken step-by-step through the practice of portrait drawing. Particular time and attention will be put on proportions, measuring and accuracy, and shading.
This course is a great introduction to traditional fine art. If you're interested in building skill towards classical painting, portraiture, or doing gallery work, then this is where you start.

PREPARATION
Time: Based on student feedback, this class requires an average of 15hrs to accomplish each lesson's assignments to a satisfactory level.
Traditional: This is not a digital painting course, but you will need to photograph or scan your assignments to be reviewed by the instructor. You will need a small set of standard drawing supplies:
Pencils: HB, B, 2B (recommend Staedtler / Faber Castell / the Mechanical pencil 0.7 or 0.5)
Erasers: Kneaded (gum), Pen shaped erasers (for details)
Drawing Paper: recommend Bristol paper, 100lb. (270 gm) smooth surface, vellum surface. They are sturdy and great to draw on.
Tracing Paper: (recommend Canson Foundation Series, or any that is super transparent)
Setup: Students will need HD video streaming speed internet, and a microphone and webcam are also recommended if students plan on joining the Zoom lessons live.
