INTRO to STYLIZATION
Skill Level: Foundational | Instructor: Guilherme Freitas | Duration: 8 lessons (taught live)
Registration Period for Feedback Option: Aug. 27 - Oct. 4 | Weekly Feedback Course Sessions: Oct. 9 - Dec. 4
WHERE YOU START FOR STYLIZED GAME ART
If you want to create dynamic art like you see in Hearthstone and Riot, it starts with strong stylized drawing skills. Blizzard illustrator Guilherme Freitas will be your expert instructor as you develop skills that will apply to any stylized subject matter.

You'll start simple with sketching stylized forms then quickly move into props, and later to larger subjects. From blades and purses, to food, barrels and buildings, you'll learn how to align your subjects to a given style while conveying character through the shape language and design.

Each week you'll get a new assignment to practice the principles and exercises presented, and receive feedback on the assignment the following week. Lessons will be full of annotated slides and examples, as well as many draw-alongs where you will sketch together in real-time as Guilherme guides you through the processes you'll use in your homework.
