CUSTOMER REVIEWS

"the right direction"

"I am very grateful for the knowledge I have gained. At first I hesitated when choosing a class because I thought I already had general basic knowledge. However, since I had not studied digital drawing before, I chose this class anyway, and it was the right decision. Lessons without unnecessary information, everything is brief and the most necessary. I liked the structure and atmosphere of classes, feedback on each homework assignment. Conveniently, there was a recording of lessons. As a result, my drawing skills in Photoshop have grown noticeably, now I understand how I can move on in digital painting."

"amazing curriculum"

"I just joined your Digital Painting Basics class... I  have never had any experience with digital art. I'm so glad I did. I plan on doing all the courses. Amazing curriculum. I'm excited to keep learning."

"learned a lot of new things"

"..I've learned a lot of new things... that I have not seen previously on any tutorials that I've watched online and I really enjoyed that the information from the lessons were in condensed, yet easily digestible form..The course will also help you to build up confidence by providing you with weekly assignments that build upon one another with increased difficulty - but in steps you can handle."

FAQ

Do I need prior digital painting experience? No, this course is designed to be an entry point to the medium. Having some basic drawing skills is helpful (as this is not a basic drawing class). If you've not received proper teaching on digital painting then we recommend taking this class before tackling any of our Intermediate classes.

How much time do the lessons take to complete? Each lesson video about an hour, and it should take about 10 hours to complete each of the 8 assignments.

Do I have to use Photoshop, can I use a different program? While this course is designed to work best if the student uses Adobe Photoshop as their painting program, it can be completed in other programs. This may make the process more cumbersome than is necessary, but students have used adapted the lessons in the past.
